Empowering individuals to thrive in the digital world of work

Rigorous research, in-depth analysis

The purpose of Digital Work Research is to empower individuals to thrive in the digital world of work by improving their digital skills and well-being. Rigorous research, in-depth analysis and compelling content and talks help to inform interventions to raise your organisation’s digital IQ.

DWR Director, Elizabeth Marsh has a wealth of experience working with a range of private and public sector organisations. She has researched and/or managed numerous research projects relating to topics such as digital workplace strategy, digital skills, the future of work, digital leadership, technostress and more. In 2014, she co-authored ‘The Digital Renaissance of Work: Delivering digital workplaces fit for the future’ with DWG CEO Paul Miller, which was shortlisted for CMI Management Book of the Year 2015. She is currently undertaking part time doctoral research at the University of Nottingham on technostress and mindfulness. Elizabeth has spoken about her academic and industry research at conferences such as Intrateam and Intranet Now as well as corporate events for Fortune 500 companies.

DWR works with a number of trusted consultants in order to deliver on specific project briefs.

  • "I have thoroughly enjoyed working with Elizabeth. She is someone who intuitively understands the basis for good co-working which means she is empathetic, genuine, generous and encouraging. I thought her work on the Digital Renaissance of Work was a good example: the content is rigorous, imaginative and well-pitched, given the readership and the way that she and her co-author Paul have worked with Gower has enabled us to achieve a great deal with little drama and lots of give and take."

  • "Elizabeth was one of the main project leads on a full strategic review of our intranet. Her depth knowledge in this area is remarkable and her approach was methodical and professional. As well as being cheerful and upbeat. We learnt so much during the project and came away with a clear roadmap of improvement. Highly recommended!"
